Successful straw management and tackling of take-off with AKRA
- Half of the field was treated with AKRA Stroh R. + P + K two years ago (2016 after winter barley).
- 2018 winter barley harvest had yields that were 1.6 to/ha lower in comparison! Previous crop from 2017 on entire area was sugar beet.
In agriculture, the symptoms of take-off are often not recognised and are frequently confused with the effects of early summer drought (shrivelled grains).
Symptoms of damage: after the harvest, the cereal stubble can be easily pulled from the ground.
Take-off is the most common cereal disease in the world; there is no fungicide that is effective against it.
