"Each year in spring, we are confronted with grubs feeding on chive crops. The elusive larvae of May and June beetles feed on the roots of the chive plants after the ground thaws out. As we were always looking to minimise our use of chemicals, or even replace them entirely with biological processes, we got in touch with AKRA.

The combination of the finely ground sulphur in AKRA Sulpur+ and an oil-based mixture of AKRA WD and AKRA Plus 9 recommended to us as foliar fertiliser and approved for use in organic farming achieved good results. The grubs are irritated by the smell so they stay away from the chive roots.
