AKRA Azotobacter
N-bacteria
Azotobacteria are free-living nitrogen-fixing bacteria that are only consumed by the crops when they need nitrogen. The nitrogen fixing is particularly efficient when used with crops with large leaves. With AKRA Azotobacter, farmers can use up 40-80% less commercial nitrogen.
Advantages
Azotobacter is a free-living nitrogen fixer and does not rely on symbioses to bind N2.
Azotobacteria are free-living nitrogen-fixing bacteria that are only consumed by the crops when they need nitrogen. The nitrogen fixing is particularly efficient when used with large-leaved crops like maize, sugar beet, potatoes, rapeseed and sunflowers. They can occur on the top and bottom of leaves, but also colonise many soils.
They can help farmers use 40-80% less commercial nitrogen.
